Job Description Job Description Role Summary We are seeking a
highly capable HR leader to design, implement, and lead a modern
people operations function within a growing construction and real
estate development organization. This role is ideal for someone who
enjoys building systems, establishing standards, and bringing
clarity to environments that are scaling quickly. This position
requires a hands-on professional who can assess what exists today,
identify gaps, and implement practical, compliant solutions that
support both the business and its employees. You will work closely
with executive leadership, finance, and legal partners to create
sustainable HR infrastructure aligned with the long-term vision of
the firm. Key Responsibilities Build and Optimize People Operations
Implement and manage HR systems that streamline employee data,
workflows, and reporting Replace manual processes with scalable,
technology-driven solutions Establish foundational HR practices
that support a multi-disciplinary workforce, including field and
office employees Create Core HR Programs Design structured
onboarding and orientation programs Develop performance management
processes that support accountability and growth Oversee time
tracking, benefits administration, insurance programs, and related
employee services Ensure HR operations meet regulatory and
industry-specific requirements Policy & Compliance Leadership Lead
the development of a comprehensive Employee Handbook and policy
framework Partner with external legal counsel to ensure policies
are compliant, current, and defensible Translate legal requirements
into clear, practical guidance for employees and managers
Independent Ownership & Leadership Operate with a high degree of
autonomy in a build-and-improve environment Prioritize initiatives,
make informed decisions, and drive execution Bring structure,
consistency, and clarity to evolving people practices Equity &
Ownership Program Support (Preferred) Support administration and
ongoing compliance of an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)
Partner with finance, legal, and external advisors on ESOP-related
processes, communications, and employee education Ensure HR
practices align with ownership culture and long-term employee
engagement Preferred Qualifications Strong background in HR
operations, compliance, and employee relations Experience
implementing or enhancing HRIS platforms and digital workflows
Demonstrated success leading policy development and handbook
creation Comfort working directly with attorneys, executives, and
cross-functional leaders Experience in construction, real estate,
development, or adjacent industries strongly preferred ESOP
experience highly valued , including administration, compliance, or
employee communications Thrives in environments where processes are
built, refined, and scaled over time What Success Looks Like Within
the first year, this individual will have established reliable HR
systems, introduced consistent people practices, delivered a
compliant and culturally aligned policy framework, and positioned
HR as a trusted operational partner across the organization.
