Job Description:
As a pivotal leader within HCA Healthcare, the RN Nurse Manager
for Surgical Services oversees surgical nursing operations,
ensuring excellence in patient care and compliance with healthcare
regulations. This role is instrumental in shaping a supportive
environment for both staff and patients, aligning daily operations
with the mission and values of HCA Healthcare. The Nurse Manager
will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to enhance
operational efficiency in surgical services, maintaining the
highest standards of safety and quality. Manage daily operations of
the surgical nursing department ensuring compliance with all
policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Supervise,
recruit, and train nursing staff; conduct performance evaluations
and implement development plans. Ensure high standards of patient
care and safety, reviewing and improving nursing practices within
the department. Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and
other healthcare professionals to optimize surgical workflows and
patient outcomes. Manage department budget; ensure adequate
staffing and resources while optimizing cost-effectiveness.
Proficient in clinical management and leadership within a surgical
setting. Strong interpersonal and communication skills for
effective team management. In-depth knowledge of healthcare
regulations and accreditation standards. Ability to implement
clinical and administrative policies effectively. Experience with
electronic medical record systems. Medical Insurance Dental
Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid Registered
Nurse (RN) license. Certification in Nursing Administration (CNML
or NE-BC) preferred.
