Job Description:
Complexity of Work: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive
judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be
able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate
action. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Required
Work Experience: Two (2) years' relevant work experience pertinent
to Diabetes Self- Management Education and Support Training
(DSMEST).Experience with program planning and evaluation (i.e.,
pre- and post-test, repeat demonstration, clinical measures,
evaluating trends, and communicating plan of care). Other
Information: Additional Education Info: Dietetics or Nutrition or
graduate of an accredited professional nursing programAdditional
Credential Info: Registered Nurse License OR Registered Dietitian
CDR Certification OR Registered Pharmacist; Certified Diabetes
Educator OR Board- Certified Advance Diabetes Management (BC-ADM)
certification preferred or completion of either Certificate within
